DICOM export feature

I finally got to use and test the DICOM export feature (more testing to come). It seems to work fine. Comments:

1. If you use MPR the export just doesnt work, it doesnt export anything (understandable, that would require DICOM header modification) but it doesnt show any error message, instead it reopens the save file dialog window
2. I dont know if you want to get into these problems (series resampling / change of orientation), if someone needs this, there is plenty of good complicated research apps, maybe you just need to tell the user he cant save the reoriented image
3. File renaming (change the z045fege to Imagennn.dcm) would, however, be appreciated

thanx,

A.2.

I stand corrected, in the new version, the images are renamed automatically.¨¨

Thanks for pointing that out. Users should be certainly notified that either MPR or PET-CT fusion images cannot be exported to DICOM files. This could change in the future versions.

actually a direct DICOM export for fused images is not available.

as a workaround you can export them as jpeg then reprocess ad DICOM with external tools.

the free version of Gynkgo CADx ( http://ginkgo-cadx.com/en/ ) has a DICOM conversion option.

so I export fused images from RadiAnt to jpeg then convert those jpegs to DICOM with Gynkgo CADx.

It would be great that RadiAnt could do the same...

so Maciej, take a look at Gynkgo CADx... it should be open source software and maybe you can get inspiration for a DICOM-export tool inside RadiAnt

Thanks Tommy. We have a vision of DICOM export implementation, only need more time to make it real ;-)

Can I save DICOM file as uncompressed from an originally Jpeg compressed DICOM file.
I need uncompressed DICOM studies to be used for Ultrasound MRI fusion applications.

You cannot convert compressed DICOM files to the uncompressed ones in RadiAnt currently.
