The radiologist here who is using RadiAnt loves the product but is finding that the preset window levels (brain, angio, chest, etc) are not showing for the bulk of his CT scans.

We also noticed that when this problem is happening, the study description on the left - above the thumbnails for the study - reads something like ": 6 studies" whereas when the presets show the equivalent description would be "CT: 6 studies".

The only cause we can see so far is that our studies are rarely one modality. As well as, for example, images from a CT or MR scanner we will have SR series (produced by the reconstruction/reporting software) and OT series (usually DICOMised reports but for PET/CT also stacks of fused images). PET/CT software never provides preset window levels, even prior to reporting and fusing, possibly because by their very nature there will always be series from both CT and PT modalities.

Does it sound as if I am identifying the problem correctly? Is there a work-around or fix other than not exporting the OT and SR elements of a study? Is there any way to convince RadiAnt to look at the individual series rather than the entire study?
