When will you develop the oblique MPR? And the MIP reconstructions? Thank you for this wonderful program for visualization of medical image!!

Fernando, thank you for the compliment! MPR & MIP are our top priority features after PACS functionality is implemented. So, 2014 is the year :-)

That's rigth. I hope the development!!!

In plane thick slab as average or MIP will be a huge improvement and not so hard to develop as oblique MPR.. ;-)
you are almost competing to Osirix 2D Viewer there..

Titox, your right, thick slabs are much easier to implement. However, there's a chance that oblique MPR & MIP will come together in a new 3D viewer module, without duplicating MIP functionality in 2D viewer. We've not decided yet.

Looking forward to the oblique and MIP options. I have to say using RadiAnt on the Microsoft Surface is a wonderfully intuitive experience with the multitouch controls, thank you for the great work! I would have had to give in and buy an apple if it wasn't for the radiant team!

Nick, thanks for your compliment!
We will start implementing Oblique MPR and MIP as soon as possible.
With the MIP feature probably being first.

I strongly support developing oblique MPR first, having in mind rapid interest in transcatheter heart valve implantations which require accurate MPR assessment. Currently there are no free tools for oblique MPR analysis of heart valves (Onis Free viewer was until version 2.4) I think your viewer would be more than successful in this field!

Yes, I'm aware that TAVI measurements require precise plane adjustment and cannot be done without oblique MPR tool... However, MIP is much faster to implement, that's why it precedes oblique MPR. Anyway, first we have to deal with PACS functionality (which will soon enter beta testing phase). Then we'll see about MIP & MPR.

Unfortunately, there is still no progress on MPR analysis.. I see it as wasting your opportunities. We've moved away from RadiAnt to Osirix software.

Good luck in your plans to develop RadiAnt!

Dear TAVI cardiologist,

The PACS functionality takes a bit longer than we expected to be implemented properly. Like I said, MPR & MIP are the next features from our top-priority list (we already have some rough working prototypes).
What can I say... Don't give up completely on RadiAnt, check us back once in a while and give oblique MPR a try, once it's ready :-)

GREAT software, best freeware dicom viewer under widows, best 2D reporting software under windows paid or not...
as a general radiologist I use other software for advanced reading and post processing, but your software is used for quick reading of outside CDs and is the only software recommended for our referring physician when the come in with problematic CDs.

One request coming from Venezuela, where we have severe economic limitations, please don't go the way of other dicom viewers that ended up crippling their freeware options to force the user to go paid version... New advanced features of course should be paid, but the core app is nice to have fully functional within its limits.
Thank you.

Thank you! We're aware that not all of the expectations can be met, but we do what we can to make most of our users satisfied :-) Also, currently we have no plans to put any feature restrictions on our free evaluation version.

Hi,

First, i would live to thank you for your amazing work on this software.

As a radiology resident, i need to perform measurements on oblique MPR images for my thesis, wich i plan to do in the next 3 monthes.

I have now to decide whether i go for osirix or radiant to start my work now (and choose between iOS or windows laptop).

Do you already know whether the MPR/oblique measurements will be available on radiant by the end of december ?

Best regards

Hi,

I'm afraid that you will have to go with Osirix, the oblique MPR feature
will only be available in Q1/Q2 2015, I suppose.

Best regards,
Maciej

Same here, need more planar views than just the three given, thanks though for the solid viewer. Its very fast.

Hi,

Once again thanks for producing such a great piece of software. All it needs is the ability to be able to do oblique MPRs and it will be perfect. Just wondering if there are any updates on when we're likely to see this?

Thanks,
James.

James, we have a working prototype of oblique MPRs. This feature is certainly planned for the release during this year. I won't give specific dates however, we had substantial delays lately and would rather not make false promises...

Radiant staff: your software rocks.
Please don't give up on MIP and oblique MPR!

I would like to thank whole RadiAnt team. You do really great job! Using RadiAnt made my work way much effective;)There's no better dicom viewer for windows. Trust me - I spent weeks trying out every free or paid available ones.
I'd like to ask you if you are working on 3D volume rendering? It would be great feature of course it would be normal if it cost some $$$;) the good job should be appreciated!
Greetings from Poland!

Dear MaxilloFacial Surgeon,

Thank you, we appreciate your comment! Please have a look at this video with a feature preview that will be available in RadiAnt later this year: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=XVMxbScbeBs

Greetings!

Alfredo,

You will have to wait a while before the oblique MPR/MIP feature is available (planned for this year).

Oblique MPR feature is still planned for this year?
Aug 9, 2015 06:23 PM
by RadiAnt
Yes, it's still planned for this year. We'll be uploading the release candidate with the pacs client feature this week. Our next beta version will feature the VR and afterwards comes the oblique MPR/MIP. If nothing unexpected comes up, there will be a public release version before the end of this year.

Hi, I hope it comes soon. Radiant will become the best software with oblique MPR/MIP and VR. Please, if it is possible, give us a releasing date for theses features.

VR beta is almost ready, to be released in September.

According to the posts above, oblique MPR was top priority feature in 2014! Don't mean to be a party pooper but it's almost 2016 guys! Otherwise great... But really does need this feature stat to be viable ....at least for cardiac

What can I say... I'd be happy if we disappoint our users only by mispredicting the time-frame for RadiAnt's new features ;-)
Rest assured that we'll do our best to release a BETA version with the oblique MPRs before 2016.

Thanks for the VR but what about the implementation of the thick slab MPR? Do you have a date for the implementation of that?
Thanks!

Sorry, no specific time-frame can be given at this time... We have to finish the VR first, which can take some time.

Maciej,

thanks for the VR, it works very well for a early beta!
I use a AMD Radeon™ HD R7 M265 2GB DD3 video card and the image quality is better when the mouse is stopped. Is that expected?

I´d also be glad if you could predict progress about MPR Oblique. Can we still expect something this year?

Thank you very much,

Brian

Brian, if not this year, it'll be the first thing next year.
As for the VR question, I've answered in this topic: http://www.radiantviewer.com/dicom-viewer-forum/volume-rendering-the-first-beta-version/538

Maciej,

It would be very good if it comes still this year. MPR oblique is my top priority and I think it´s the same for many others radiologists. I don´t like Apple OS and I´m trying not using Osirix only because of Radiant but it´s going harder and harder. Congratulations for Radiant, this amazing Dicom Viewer.

Best regards,

Brian

@Brian
2015 is almost over... I suggest everybody to be patient...
anyway I think writing a letter to Santa Claus asking for oblique MPR in the first quarter of 2016 may help :-)

Thanks, Brian. We're still busy with the VR refinements. Expect the oblique MPRs rather in Q1 2016.
